| Itinerary | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 1: | Depart the USA on your flight to Lisbon, Portugal. Meals will be served on overnight flight. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 2: | "Boa Vinda!" That's "Welcome!" in Portuguese. After arriving in Lisbon, our Tour Director welcomes us with a beautiful smile and escorts us through the mountainous central region of the Serra de Aire toward Fatima, once a remote village of the Moors, and now one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage destinations in the world. Dinner and overnight in Fatima. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 3: | We will celebrate Mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions (Capelinha), located at the Cova da Iria, pray the Rosary, and witness the Blessing of the Sick, followed by a walking tour. After dinner, we will participate in the Candlelight Procession where pilgrims from around the world unite to pray to Our Lady of the Rosary. Dinner and overnight in Fatima. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 4: | Today we continue our journey to Madrid, the capital of Spain. Dinner and overnight in Madrid. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 5: | An optional excursion to Avila will be available. Avila, the 12th century walled town associated with St. Teresa and her confessor St. John of the Cross. We will visit her birthplace and the Carmelite Convent which contains many of her relics. Dinner and overnight in Madrid. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 6: | Travel to Lourdes, France, one of the greatest pilgrimage shrines in the world. It was here at the Grotto of Massabielle, in February 1858, that Our Blessed Mother appeared 18 times to a young, sickly child named Bernadette Soubirous and later proclaimed to her that She was the Immaculate Conception. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 7: | After breakfast, we celebrate Mass and then participate in the walking tour of Lourdes, where we visit the places associated with the life of St. Bernadette. The afternoon may be spent in private devotion at the Way of the Cross with its life-size statues on the hill, in Eucharistic Adoration, in confession or taking part in the Miraculous Baths to experience the message of Our Lady. After dinner, we may participate in the Candlelight Procession or simply spend some more private time at the "Grotto". Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Day 8: |
Early morning departure bound for Paris. Upon arrival, we will be met by our Tour Director, who will take us on a city tour, where we
will enjoy the "City of Lights" many famous sights on our panoramic sightseeing city tour, including the Eiffel Tower and
Champs Elysees with the Arc de Triomphe. We then continue on to the beautiful and inspiring Notre Dame Cathedral, whose construction
began 1163. Our visit culminates with a celebration of the Mass at the Miraculous Medal Chapel, where the incorrupt body of St. Catherine
Labouré is kept. It was in 1830 that Our Blessed Mother had appeared to her, giving her the mission of having a medal struck and
distributed, which later became known as the Miraculous Medal. A decade later, in 1840, Our Blessed Mother appeared again, this time to
Justine Bisqueyburu with the gift of the Green Scapular. Dinner and overnight in Paris. |

| Day 9: |
Free day in Paris; spend some time at the museumsor maybe shop for some souvenirs for the loved ones. An optional extension to Lisieux or Nevers will be offered, (minimum of 20 passengers). Lisieux is the little town associated with St. Therese, the Carmelite nun also known as "the little flower of Jesus", whose exemplary life was made famous by her diary Story of a Soul. |

Nevers is the town where St. Bernadette spent her last
years as a nun, and where her incorrupt body lies in repose at the Convent of St. Gildard. Dinner and overnight in Paris. |

| Day 10: | We bid farewell to Paris as we board our flight back to the USA, arriving later that day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
